Welcome to Poetry Friday. This week's round up is hosted by Sylvia at Poetry For Children.
I'm at a loss for words when it comes to what happened at the U.S. Capitol this week. I think most of us had hoped that the turning of the calendar page would bring unification, peace, kindness and decency. What we saw on Wednesday in D.C. was absolutely the ugliest and worst of America.
With that said, I still see glimmers of hope. Many of you are part of the New Year's postcard exchange, and you have or will receive this in the mail, but I wanted to share it with our community.
Connection, longing
Watching the great conjunction
Universal hope
